The Bill of Rights Forum has tasked seven working groups to work on key areas of the proposed Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland. The Children’s Working Group was established to propose draft recommendations on the rights of children in the Bill of Rights. The group has published its draft recommendations and is inviting comments by 6 January 2008. After consideration of the responses to all the working groups the Forum will submit its recommendations to the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission by 31 March 2008.
The Children’s Working Group looks forward to receiving a wide range of submissions from members of the public, in particular children and young people. Emailed submissions to Gillian Preece, Secretary to the Forum, are preferred at gillian.preece@billofrightsforum.org.
