Aware Defeat Depression has organised a number of mental health first aid training events to help participants:
- preserve life where a person may be a danger to themselves or others
- provide help to prevent the mental health problem developing into a more serious state
- promote the recovery of good mental health
- provide comfort to a person experiencing a mental health problem.
The training will help you:
- recognise the symptoms of mental health problems
- provide initial help
- guide people towards appropriate professional and other help
Dates and venues:
- 23/24 January 2008 – NICVA, Belfast – Funded by Promoting Mental Health Strategy
- 13/14 February 2008 – Royal Marine Hotel, Bangor – Funded by Protect Life, Suicide Prevention Strategy
- 19/20 March 2008 – NICVA, Belfast - Funded by Promoting Mental Health Strategy
