Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People has published a report on young people leaving care in Scotland. Including a wide ranging set of recommendations for change, the report is focused on the age at which young people leave care and in particular a culture that often encourages them to leave at 16.
It also looks at how many young people leaving care end up in unsuitable accommodation, including homelessness accommodation, and makes recommendations on both practice and legislative changes that could prevent this from occurring.
