The Northern Ireland Anti-Poverty Network would like to invite you to a workshop to look at ‘Influencing Public Attitudes on Poverty’.
It will be held on 16th August in the City Hotel Derry/Londonderry from 10.30am until 2.30pm. The workshop is being held in partnership with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) which is holding similar events in England and Wales looking at how to build positive public attitudes toward poverty. A buffet lunch will be provided, all expenses including travel and childcare costs are available.
The workshop will look at:
- how poverty is represented in different areas including newspapers, TV, at school, in public spaces, in daily interaction;
- how the need for the eradication of poverty could be better communicated to the general public.
A final report will be available on completion of the workshops. Should you wish to attend please contact Patricia at the NIAPN office to register: Tel: 028 9024 4525 Email: info@niapn.org
