This workshop is part of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission’s Education Programme 2008. It aims to increase awareness of what human rights are and how they work. It will provide an introduction to human rights and examine the impact of the Human Rights Act, which will be 10 years old on 2 October this year.
The workshop is at an introductory level and intended for staff and volunteers in the voluntary and community sector. No legal knowledge about human rights is needed. The workshop will take place on 12 September in Derry and on 19 September in Belfast, from 9.30am to 3.00pm, lunch included
