The Northern Ireland Women’s Network [NIRWN], Rural Support and Rural Community Network are holding a consultation event on:

The Northern Ireland Executive is currently out to consultation on the Bamford Review of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Northern Ireland.
As part of our responses it is important that we know what people with a mental health problem or a learning disability think about the services provided for them. We also want to hear from family and friends who care for people with a mental health problem or a learning disability.
- What barriers exist?
- What needs to change?
- Does living is a rural community make a difference?
There will be representatives from the Department of Health Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) to provide an overview of the Review at the event as well as respondents from a couple of key organisations working on mental health and learning disability.”
Attached is the invitation for the event with details on how to confirm attendance. Please come along as this is a signficant issue for many in rural communities and we need to have our say.
