- How well do you know your position in the Supporting People Market?
- Can you show that you are offering Value for Money?
Participation in the Support Benchmarks Project can help supported housing providers to answer these questions. This launch follows the successful pilot project to determine the viability of extending the national benchmarking service into NI.
The benchmarking service can help providers:
- Be more competitive
- Develop a better understanding of the relationship between costs and quality
- Develop an understanding of the scope, if any, for efficiency savings or gains, so that they can negotiate funding levels with more confidence.
Following completion of an excel spreadsheet with service financial and performance information, providers are presented with reports which include key anonymised comparisons on costs, performance, quality, and user satisfaction. You will receive a report with between 6 and 25 services run by other providers which provide the closest possible comparisons by region, primary client group, cover arrangements and types of service.
The aim of the event is to launch the project, further explain its benefits and give you the opportunity to find out what you need to know to make it work for you. Speakers who have developed and run the benchmarking service in England for the past 4 years will be launching and providing detailed guidance on the benchmarking tool and reports. Please refer to the attached information leaflet for further details.
It is intended that the launch be attended by senior decision makers in your organisation. However if you are unable to attend on the 2nd of October but still wish to participate in the project please contact Malcolm Christy at NIFHA/CHNI on 028 90230446/ 028 90246440 who can advise you of the necessary arrangements. Further details on Benchmarking can also be found at SITRA's website www.sitra.org.uk.
This project is being funded by the NIHE SP this year. The SP Team will not be privy to service or organisation-specific data.
