Dear Colleagues,
Please open the attached letter to discover more about an exciting opportunity for all engaged work with Youth and Community Groups.
Social Entrepreneurs are 'can -do' people who deliver imaginative solutions to social problems. They see opportunities instead of obstacles and are determined to succeed, if you know some-one like that then read on.
The Big Idea is funded by Invest NI and is a national competition which seeks to support young social entrepreneurs who wish to develop a creative and innovative project that will make a positive impact on society.
- Your Big Idea could centre on a project activity which you have created and wish to grow, scale up , replicate or export.
- If you are outside the age range of 16-30 a younger colleague could take forward a new business opportunity within your organisation.
- Social entrepreneurs up to the age of 35yrs may be considered at discretion.
- You may work with a keen group of volunteers who could implement an income generating project.
- Perhaps you are in touch with young people outside of work and would be willing to promote the Big Idea to your social networks?
- You may be a network or membership organisation and could promote the Big Idea to your members.
Please note:
- projects must meet a need and demand
- a development plan must be devised with details on how you plan to grow or replicate
- your existing project / social enterprise in the next year
- plans should be delivered within an initial budget of £5,000
- you must demonstrate the social impact of what you plan to do
