Through the continuous hard work of our staff team in our Northwest Office, based in Derry City, we provide high quality, one to one support for our members in the west of the country, with a particular focus on those based in the northwest.

We work hard with our members to tackle homelessness in the northwest.

Please note that this list is not intended to be exhaustive, and that information was accurate, as supplied, as of Jan 2015. Information is listed for informational purposes and inclusion does not imply endorsement. If you find any information which is incorrect, or if you have any other useful links that you would like to share please contact us.

Our members represent a range of housing and homelessness services operating in the Northwest of the country. These include temporary and emergency accommodation providers, those providing more permanent solutions, Housing Associations, as well as providers from mental health, addictions, and children services.        CLICK HERE TO VIEW A LIST OF OUR CURRENT MEMBERS

We provide support to our northwest members through one-to-one meetings and via a number of fora and seminars. For more about our two main for a - CRISPP and NW Members’ forum, see below.

We also organise a number of specialised information sessions throughout the year, where we invite targeted organisations to outline their services to managers and experienced practitioners from member organisations. These sessions are designed to facilitate networking and partnership working amongst organisations in the Northwest specifically, and across the west of the country more broadly.

Homelessness Awareness Week (HAW) is an annual week to highlight the issue of homelessness across Northern Ireland, and to mark the continued efforts of organisations, staff, and service users working in the sector. Currently, HAW is in it’s tenth year. THIS YEAR HAW RUNS FROM Saturday 25th November - Saturday 2nd December 2017

Over the last few years, our members and their service users in the northwest  have been particularly active organising social events during HAW, and we hope that will be the case during HAW 2016!  So, get in touch, tell us your plans, and share the info wide and far!

See right for a list of northwest events held during HAW 2016. You can find a list of upcoming events on our dedicated HAW page. Please check regularly closer to the time for a up to date list.

Organisations who work with homeless people, homeless people themselves, and the wider community are invited to host social events, exhibitions, etc. to mark the week. You can organise an event with staff, residents, service users, other organisations, community groups, or join the Civic Homelessness Forum in their efforts.

So tell us about any event(s) you’re planning to hold - and after the event why not provide us with a few photos and / or a short review - and we’ll post them online.

We have a number of HAW Boards - click here to see pic - which can be used to promote HAW in your social media activities. These are free to use (just arrange to come and collect). We also have the HAW logo and other electronic materials, free to use. for a up to date list.

We’ve set up a 'fighting fund' with a preliminary donation from NIFHA of £2000. CHNI have also donated, and are proposing that its members make an initial contribution of £250. Funds will be used to continue to engage Weber Shadwick in the delivery of the campaign. All donations, no matter what size, are welcomed.  Queries / contributions, click here.
